Vanuatu Earthquake 2009 Tsunami Advisory In Hawaii News Update!

The Tsunami Advisory In Hawaii around 1:36 p.m. was been canceled by The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center after 2 p.m. This warning was issued this morning due to a 8.1 magnitude earthquake that happened at Northwest of Santo, Vanuatu. The epicenter of the earthquake was found 373 kilometers (232 miles) from Vanuatu with a depth of 33 kilometers (20.5 miles). Hawaii Civil Defense said earlier that the waves is expected approximately one to three feet high. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) scientists has monitored this wave that is why they gave earlier warning.
